Other foods that cause gout are whole milk dairy products. Vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, peas, asparagus, cauliflower, lentil beans and other beans are rich in purine. There are also drinks that increase uric acid and you should also avoid drinking them to avoid gout. Drinks like beer and alcoholic beverages are high in their uric acid level.
The foods that cause gout have been mentioned above. Here are some of the foods that could help ease the onset of gout. These are foods rich in carbohydrates, which can be taken from vegetables like celery, fruits like cherries and berries and whole grain bread and pasta. Drink lots of water to wash off excess uric acid in our food and drink intake. Minimizing your intake of foods that cause gout and increasing your intake of foods that help prevent gout are good practices for avoiding gout.
